Clan McAlister of America (CMA) maintains an extensive database of McAlister (all spellings) family lines. Use this form to submit a request to the Genealogy Committee for information on one or more ancestors. A committee member will examine our digital genealogy holdings for any information related to your query.
A note about septs: CMA does not maintain genealogical information about any sept other than ones spelled with a variation of McAllister. Due to resource constraints, we do not include the McAlister septs like Alexander, Allison , Sanders, etc.

The fact that we have extensive records does not ensure that we will find a connection. The more information that you provide in your query, the more likely we are to find that connection. Important clues you can provide include:
- Names of several ancestors--the more the better (preferably full names including alternate spellings and nicknames)
- Their spouses' names (including maiden names for women)
- Their children's names
- The birth, marriage, and death dates and locations of each of the above
- Dates and descriptions of family migrations (from country-to-country or state-to-state)
- Any known oral histories
- Any additional identifying information
