Become a Member of Clan McAlister
Membership is open to all who are McAlisters (of whatever spelling), married to a McAlister, descended from Clan McAlister, or interested in learning about the Clan McAlister and Scottish history and culture. (Geographic distribution of CMA members)
Publications. As a member, you will receive copies of our award-winning semi-annual journal "Mac-Alasdair Clan: Journal of Clan McAlister of America," as well as our semi-annual newsletter "Mac-Alasdair Clan Teachdaire: The Clan McAlister of America Messenger." (The Journal and Newsletter are published in alternating quarters of the year.) Our journal and newsletter contain stories and articles on:

Genealogy. Our Genealogy database contains data on over 350 family lines/trees encompassing over 100,000 McAlister descendants, the composite results of hundreds of McAlister researchers over 30 years. The Genealogy Committee is happy to work with members to help find their ancestors using our resources.
Members-only Website of Resources. We have a members-only section of our web site (free access to all members in good standing). This section contains the complete archive of all information obtained by Clan McAlister of America. This includes: our collection of family histories; all past CMA publications (Journals and Newsletters); articles from “Today in MacAlister History” by CMA Historian Lynn McAlister; selected British, Scottish, and Irish censuses; Parish records; McAlister Sasines (Scottish land records); and emigration and immigration records.
To become a member, you can join or rejoin online and submit payment for your membership dues through PayPal. One membership covers all family members living at the same address. (You do not need a PayPal account to use PayPal. PayPal now accepts your credit card.)
For those who prefer to join or rejoin by postal mail, you can download a printable PDF version of the membership form, complete it on your computer or by hand, and mail it, along with your dues payment, to the address listed on the bottom of that form.
