She is shown in the 1870 census of Rossie, ST Lawrence, NY as age 3.

The post mortem examination from Crouse Irving Hospital, Syracuse, NY on Jan 4, 1941 reveals Mrs. Etta King died as a result of senile changes involving chiefly disease of the gall bladder and appendix and quite extensive arteriosclerosis. There was also evidence of acute and chronic inflammation of the urinary bladder. There was no evidence of carcinoma or other tumor growth. In the 1870 census of Rossie, St Lawrence, New York, she is listed as age 1 living with her mother and father.

Syracuse, NY newspaper The Post Standard Tuesday Oct 23,1934: Mrs Bostwick heads 4 Generations of Three lines. Syracuse Woman becomes Great Grandmother for third time. Four generations of the family of Mrs Isabelle Bostwick, 87, a great grandmother will celebrate the completion of three separate groups of the fourth generation in the near future at her home 100 East Beard Avenue. Mrs Bostwick became a Great Grandmother for the third time on Sep 25 with the birth of Barbara Alice Merithew on Olean. Of pioneer North Country stock, Mrs Bostwick still is hale and hearty and is looking forward to the reunion of her son and daughters, grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. The genealogy of the family is outlined by Mrs EM King, daughter of Mrs. Bostwick in this way: My Mother was born in the village of Rossie, ST Lawrence Co July 26 1847. She was born Nov.23 1873. Her son, Dewitt C. Merithew Jr., was born in Brooklyn May 8,1908. His daughter born Sep 25,1934 became the third line of the fourth Gen." The 2^nd line descends from myself, My Daughter Mrs Venitah Worth born 26 Jan.1907 in Hammond, children William Myron Worth born here July 25,1928 and Martha Ann Worth also born in Syracuse May 23,1930. The reunion of all branches of the family tree will be timed to suit the convenience of the latest arrival, 19 day old Barbara Alice Merithew.

He received the Yaddo award in 1927 from Saratoga High School. YADDO MEDAL: "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city." Each year an outstanding member of the graduation class at Saratoga Springs High School is awarded the prestigious Yaddo Medal. This award has been given since 1912. Katrina Trask chose the medal as a means to honor her late husband. In her will, she bequeathed a sum of money to purchase future awards. Mrs Trask declared that these medals should be given to the male and female student who maintain the highest standard of character and scholarship during four years of high school. George Ford and his sister Jean were the first brother/sister to receive this award. In his graduating High School year book is the saying "Honest as the skin between his brows."

He was married to Helen Joyce DENTON (daughter of Leroy DENTON and Josephine BENWAY) on January 21, 1935 in Saratoga Springs, New York Methodist Church. Helen Joyce DENTON was born on March 12, 1914 in Saratoga Springs, New York. She died in August 1968 in Albany, New York Medical Center. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks in Saratoga Springs and was an avid golfer.
